Halfway to Cast On
I didn't get your comment in time, Holly, to select my yarn first. Now I finally have a pattern selected that I am practically drooling over but still searching for yarn, which is a combination of two. The pattern I have in mind is called Cabled Duffle Coat from Knitter's Fall 2006. The link takes you to a picture and what it would cost for a kit. Outrageous!

That is amazing. I love the coat.
(the closures I am not so thrilled about, they provide too much glaring contrast )
not going to spend that much on yarn either.
Thinking heavier yarn substitution or I have some wonderful wool that would work doubled. How much do you need. Should I check my stash to see what I have for you_?
