Tonight at knit night, we looked at it again, I ripped back to where the increases started, thinking I'd work the pattern into the centre of the increases. To end this tale of woe, let me say that didn't work (again) and feeling overly frustrated I ripped the remainder of the sleeve and now I have a yarn cake, ready to start over, this time on straight needles. I should have knit the bleeping sleeves flat in the first place. :(

Progress? Not So Much

Owww -
just go with paired increases under the arm and let the pattern work into the area when it makes sense.
it will look much better...
Thanks Holly. It was like a wall blocking my brain, trying to follow the pattern as written, yet knowing it wasn't working. Thinking back on it, I should have knit a single stitch to create a false seam line like in some Norwegian patterns and increased in pattern on each side of that, and ignored the written instructions. Today's another day...
