Combined Post - Tubey + Lace
After a long avoidance, Tubey is finished. It had been sitting there in pieces/parts for a month.
I took a breath and bound the back to the arms -
did some messing around to get the front part attached -
and then decided that the neckline really needed a finish, which I did with I-cord (and the same for the sleeve ends).
It is surprisingly comfortable on, but way too warm for this time of year. Figures.
I still have white and small bits of the other colours left.
Lace
Over the weekend, I started the Diamond Fantasy Shawl by Sivia Harding and finished it up yesterday in a long scarf version. I had one skein of STR medium in Bella Coola - so that is what I used.
Here is what it looks like blocking.
Not having any fancy blocking equipment, I had to settle for my Clover daisy headed pins and an old mattress pad.
I had almost 10 yards left, so perhaps I could have knit 2 more rows?

Suggestions needed
I should be able (finally) to post the completed Tubey (shall we say March?) in the next couple of days.
My eldest got married a couple of weeks ago. Given the issues and vagrancies of German regs, she and her guy went up to Denmark.
As a result, they are looking at doing something this fall.
Obviously she needs a shawl.
Any suggestions for something reasonably elegant that is doable in less than a year?

Did Someone Say Fickle?
I confess that, like Michelle, I am also a fickle knitter. Instead of continuing work on Muir I cast on the Susan Undulating Waves Scarf from Schaefer Yarn Co.
I have also been working on socks a lot the last few days--but no lace ones!
Michelle, your shawl is going to be beautiful. I love the colour and have considered buying it for myself in the past.

Ladies of lace
Welcome June, of official beginning of 2 months of lace a long!
I hope you all have your projects picked out and are ready to cast on...I, being such a fickle knitter have changed my mind and decided to work on my Hyacinth shawl. Photos soon.
Is everyone else ready?
