No More Monkeying Around...

Couldn't resist a bad pun :). So here they are, my finished "Monkeys". I loved, loved the Zen String Bambewe and can't wait to get more.
I normally don't pair a varigated yarn with lace, but there is a significant amount of stocking stitch in this pattern, so I think it balanced out well in the end.
I knit this exactly to pattern, no modifications. It's really quick and simple, so I can see knitting it up again.

The Monkey Made Me Do It...

Well, actually it was the yarn. I thought I'd just cast on, maybe do a little ribbing, sort of swatch.... The next thing I knew, I had a sock! I have set it aside in what will probably be a vain attempt to catch up on some April / May knits, but this stuff is so gorgeous in the hands, it'll be hard to resist until May :).
You can click the picture for details if you want.
Have a great weekend everyone! Karin at http://pointeshoespunkrockandpurl.blogspot.com/

Hello!

Hi All, Just wanted to pop in and introduce myself. I'm joining as part of the informal "Monkey Along", that Michelle mentioned on her blog. I love knitting Cookie's sock patterns, and seeing all the great finished versions of this, has me inspired :). I have some stash yarn that I'll be using, a wool / bamboo / nylon blend (the lighter one in the photo). Not sure if I can hold off until the May 1st start date, though. Looking forward to seeing all of your knitting projects.

I keep a knitting blog over at: http://pointeshoespunkrockandpurl.blogspot.com/, feel free to "visit".

Cheers, Karin
