Done!

Actually, it's been done for a while but I've been lazy about posting.  The colours are not quite true in this photo but it's as good as it gets.  It fits, which is important, however, it's way too hot here to model a high-necked sweater!  My daughter has been after it, so if it has her seal of approval, it's can't be too shabby.  I did make one mistake in the centre cable but for now have talked myself out of fixing it.  Can you find it?  Would you bother fixing it?  Enquiring mind wants to know.
For the record, it also hasn't been washed/soaked/blocked.  I am being kind of lazy about that too.

Anyone done yet?

Which obviously means that I am not. The cruise knitting went fairly well - I have only a small section of the second front to finish on my HF. So obviously the sweater has been sitting in my suitcase since the 16th of May. Since it is knit in one piece it just got too clumsy to haul around easily. Instead I have been knitting various assorted shawls. The first - well no sweat. Done, just needs blocking. I ran out of yarn for the second (three 50 gm skeins of sock yarn and a good 20 rows to go. Didn't really believe that it was going to actually take 800+ meters of fingering weight yarn). Which takes me to yet another on my needles. What was that about not starting up any new projects? Sooo busted. (and since I have been home less than 24 since 18 April there has been zero progress on the March Madness sweater.....

Still At It

I was hoping to be nearing the finish line finally. Nope, not going to happen for some time yet.
The sleeves from hell are winning. I almost had the second sleeve done last night (knit night), until I laid one over the other and noticed that I messed up the shaping. I probably have to rip out close to three inches. Geez, if plain ribbing is giving me this much grief, what can I expect when I go back to knitting the front? It's almost as if I've never knit before.

Just a bit disgruntled. How are the rest of you making out?

Did Not Happen

I did not finish my sweater. No surprise there. I will keep on working on it to finish, hopefully by the middle of April. I now have a sleeve complete and almost a half of the second sleeve.

Where did the time go???

Not Looking Good

Unless all I do for the remaining days of March is knit on my sweater, it does not look like it will get finished. That would be very disappointing. I always look forward to a new sweater in March. Unfortunately, all I have to show for this month is a back that I already showed you, six and a half inches of a front, most of one sleeve (at the sleeve cap shaping) and no second sleeve.
So totally not good. And uncharacteristic since it's a relatively simple pattern and I've never had so many issues with a Drops pattern before.

Spring sweater madness is sounding pretty good, but I haven't given up quite yet.
Knit on.

A Little Distracted

I may have gotten ever so slightly distracted.

I  finished the back of my sweater as seen in the previous post, quite pleased with myself for getting it done so quickly without working on anything else. I was soooo dedicated, ticking away at a good clip. I had 5 inches of both sleeves done and then ......it happened.

I became the proud owner of MANY MANY pounds of unwashed fleece. Did I say MANY?....I mean roughly oh, 15-20lb..

see...distracted.

I now have about half of it washed and some of it even carded
How do you gals feel about "Spring" sweater madness? You know, we did get started a little late.

Lost momentum

I don't know about the two of you, but I have lost a bit of energy. It started with the plane flight back home, spent two days fighting off a migraine followed by the Blahs.

I have blocked one shawl and just completed another Hitchhiker - so I suppose I should get back to the second sleeve rather than have just created yet another WIP/UFO....
